April 8-9, 2006 19th Annual Chocolate Festival

The delicious aroma of chocolate wafts through 1700s village shops during this award-winning festival. Homemade candies, cookies, fudge contests, candy hunts, outside vendors and games make a fun filled weekend! All veterans will be Grand Marshals in the parade Sunday at 3pm, and each will receive a badge. For information call 606-759-7423.

September 16-17, 2006 30th Annual Simon Kenton Frontier Festival

Washington dedicates this festival to our frontier hero! Historial reenactors with muzzleloaders get together. See demonstrations of frontier life, a parade, antiques, arts, crafts, food and fun. December 2-3, 2006 39th Annual Frontier Christmas

This award winning festival welcomes in the holiday season in the village. Washington's eight museums are decked with holly covered mantles, pine-scented rooms and candle-lit windows.
